The ICEHOUSE Internships

Following a successful and impactful visit by Bill Payne, the ICEHOUSE has identified the opportunity to tighten the connection between its start-up incubator and angel investment network in order to enable more of its start-ups to become investment ready. Bill Payne’s visit also enlightened the ICEHOUSE to the value of the support provided by interns and the fantastic experience the interns are afforded through their support roles. As a result, the Foundation for Research, Science, and Technology has agreed to support two ICEHOUSE “Funding Focused” interns.

Govt redesigns SMB website

The government has launched a redesigned website it promises will save small business owners time and money.

Small Business Minister Maurice Williamson says the new site has been redeveloped as a first-stop-shop for businesses in New Zealand.

"The portal will be a single repository for all the information a business person would need to start, manage and grow their business," he said. "It will also be the doorway between small businesses and government agencies, enabling business owners to go to one place to find out about government regulations, news that may affect them, and tools to help them with their business."
